Today, LinkedIn has almost a billion users. It is therefore undeniably the favorite social network for professionals. You can promote your professional activity and develop your network. But since its launch in 2003, LinkedIn has evolved a lot.

Indeed, for a few years now, the personal sphere has been creeping more and more into this professional social network. Users no longer necessarily stop at the “professional” label of the social network and many see it as a flirting tool like any other. Others have become real influencers and other content creators, not hesitating to link events from their personal life to professional skills and life lessons. Humiliated, scorned, belittled, she ended up leaving her law firm after trying to alert human resources.

Looking for a new professional adventure, the young woman took to LinkedIn. When she shared her experience, she realized that she was far from alone. The post in which she recounts her story in this toxic law firm has received over a million views, over 10,000 reactions, over 1,500 comments from employees sharing their own stories and over a hundred similar testimonies in private messages.

This sharing of experience has allowed Stefanie Costi to gain popularity on the social network. Now nicknamed “the anti-harassment lawyer”, she is followed by more than 83,000 people on LinkedIn and strives to free speech for healthy work environments. In this sense, she has participated in several TEDx conferences and runs the startup The Rising Heard, which provides legal advice and coaching to victims of toxic environments in a professional setting.

Stefanie Costi, like other employees, points the finger at the efficiency of human resources, accusing them of working in the interests of the company. Thus, many professionals choose to abandon traditional procedures, which are long and ineffective, in favor of reporting abusive behavior directly on the Internet, and more specifically on LinkedIn. This is not without reminding us of resignation for revenge, a growing trend where an employee chooses to loudly express his discontent. Which harms the company's image and the internal atmosphere…
