During this school holiday period, there is plenty to keep you entertained at the foot of the Cévennes…

Christmas may have passed, but a programme of activities is still in place in Alès, with several events planned this Friday, December 27. Thus, as many people now know, the funfair, set up on the fairground on Avenue Jules-Guesde, on the right bank of the Gardon, offers dozens of attractions from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. And on the Place des Martyrs-de-la-Résistance, the synthetic ice rink (€2, skates provided) is open from 10am to noon and from 1pm to 6pm.

On the forecourt of the Théâtre Le Cratère, the Christmas market is, for the first time this year, going into overtime. Thus, its artisans, producers and other traders await the public from 11am to 6pm. And, in the same place, a face painting stand for children, hosted by Caroline Bouet, from “Récréations créatives”, is set up from 2pm to 5pm. All this without forgetting that it is always possible to stroll around the city centre, at nightfall, to enjoy the illuminations of the end-of-year celebrations.
