IN BRIEF

  • On December 19, Bernard Montiel spoke on 'Touche pas àgrave; mon poste' about his conflict with Eric Dupond-Moretti, linked to comments about Cyril Hanouna.
  • Bernard Montiel was offended by Eric Dupond-Moretti's refusal to greet him at a party, despite a subsequent telephone apology.
  • The dispute persists, with Bernard Montiel having refused a lunch invitation from Eric Dupond-Moretti, highlighting a continuing tension.

Bernard Montiel defends his friends and makes it known openly. In the show Touche pas à mon poste this Wednesday, December 19, he returned to his disagreement with Eric Dupond-Moretti. If the two men seemed to have been close at a certain time, this is no longer the case today. The reason ? The comments made by the former minister about Cyril Hanouna. The host begins his comment by declaring: “We'd like to invite him. He can come and promote his show here, he'll create a buzz”. But will the main person concerned agree to go to the set of someone he doesn't like? ?

Cyril Hanouna seems to be open to discussion. “It would be funny if he came, even if there wasn't a crazy atmosphere, “that's for sure”, he nevertheless said. Known for his frankness, the host specifies:   “Maybe if he comes too, we'll say to ourselves “hey, he's nice”. Enough to make Bernard Montiel react, who immediately stated: “We can't say that he's nice, let's not kid ourselves”. For his part, Cyril Hanouna retorted by declaring that his columnist: “You, you hate him, yes”.

Bernard Montiel: “I took it very badly”

On Cyril Hanouna's set, the other columnists asked for more explanations. But why would Eric Dupond-Moretti have a disagreement with the C8 host ?  “It seems that he never stops insulting me when he sees Bernard Montiel but when he is in front of me, I swear to you that it is true, it is not the same lemonade”,confides Cyril Hanouna. He then specifies having met him at a party. “I had the impression that I was going to give him a camel skin. It's incredible because as soon as he sees someone, he says “that asshole Hanouna” but when he is in front of me…”, assures the host.

For his part, Bernard Montiel immediately confirmed the comments made by the host. “It’s true, I have it very badly taken éobviously”,he began. He then recalled an evening when he found himself face to face with Eric Dupond-MOretti. The latter was with his partner, Isabelle Boulay, and, after he had just greeted her, Bernard Montiel was rejected by the former minister. “I said to him “good evening, Mr. Minister” and he refused. “You, this shit show…”, he says. Comments that Bernard Montiel deplores.

Bernard Montiel and Eric Dupond-Moretti : a disagreement that lasts

Bernard Montiel did not mince his words. He has never forgotten this discussion. “I took it very badly. I said that it was pathetic of him, I was shocked by his behavior, I asked him for an apology”, he said. The columnist specifies that he had news from Eric Dupond-Moretti but only the next day.  “He did it but by phone, since there is no trace”, he says before adding: “He apologized and even offered me to go to lunch with him. He offered me dates and I refusedé”. A dispute that continues since Bernard Montiel declares having met the former minister a few weeks later and the latter refused to greet him.
