Actress Gal Gadot, known for her role as “Wonder Woman,” was diagnosed with a blood clot in her brain during her last month of pregnancy in March 2024. She has just opened up about this terrible moment, in particular to raise awareness.

A photo of her, in the maternity ward, with her baby, accompanied by a text published on Instagram: “This year has been marked by profound challenges and intense reflections and I hesitated whether or not to share a personal story.”

Actress Gal Gadot, known in particular for her role as Wonder Woman, has finally “decided to let her heart guide her.”

“Maybe this is my way of processing everything, of lifting the veil on the fragile reality behind the carefully chosen moments we share on social networks. Above all, I hope that by sharing, I can raise awareness and support those who may be facing something similar.”

“Terrifying truth”

The 39-year-old actress then recounts that last February, during her eighth month of pregnancy, she was diagnosed with a “massive blood clot in the brain.”

“For weeks, I had endured excruciating headaches that confined me to bed, until I finally had an MRI that revealed the terrifying truth.”

Gal Gadot underwent emergency surgery at the hospital a few hours later. “My daughter, Ori, was born during this time of uncertainty and fear”, she continued, picked up by Here is or again Le Parisien.

“Light at the end of the tunnel”

The little girl's first name was not chosen at random. “Ori” means “light” in Hebrew. “Before the operation, I told Jaron that when our daughter was here, she would be the light waiting for me at the end of the tunnel.”

Gal Gadot has been married to Jaron Varsano since 2008. They already have three daughters, Alma, Maya and Daniella.

The actress confides that she and her family have become aware of the “fragility of life” during this ordeal. “It was a stark reminder of how quickly everything can change.”
