Fallout (Prime Video): the series finally has a release date

It has now been several years since the Fallout series which will be broadcast on Amazon Prime Video was announced. However, we had rather no news for many months, with the exception of the release of images last year. But tongues are gradually loosening, and we are starting to see things a little more clearly. As a reminder, the Fallout games are set in a futuristic world located after the year 2077 where a nuclear war has ravaged the Earth. Humanity was able to survive in anti-atomic underground shelters, and it is partly in this setting that the story of the series will take place, particularly in Los Angeles.

Todd Howard, the director of Fallout 3 and 4, and who is involved in the series project, did not say more during his visit to Gamescom in Cologne. We therefore do not know whether these episodes will take place shortly after 2077 or many, many years later. A teaser was also revealed during the German video games fair, but it has not yet been made public. There is no doubt that the first trailer will enlighten us on this subject. What distribution for Fallout?

Amazon Studios does not skimp on means and calls on some very good people to carry out this adaptation. We thus find Lisa Joy and Jonathan Nolan as showrunners of the series. This duo is known to the general public for Westworldwhich aired on HBO. The series started very well before being stopped at the end of its fourth season. Moreover, Christopher Nolan’s brother will himself take charge of directing the first three episodes.

Alongside them for the writing, we note the presence of Geneva Robertson-Dworet (Captain Marvel), but also Graham Wagner (Portlandia).

As for the actors, we are also dealing with very solid work. These include Kyle MacLachlan (Twin Peaks), Walton Goggins (Justified), Ella Purnell (Yellowjackets) and Xelia Mendes-Jones ( em>The Wheel of Time). Not forgetting, Aaron Moten (Emancipation), Moisés Arias (The King of Staten Island) and Johnny Pemberton (21 Jump Street). p>

When will the series premiere?

Amazon Prime Video has revealed the launch date of the series. Fallout will debut on April 12, 2024 on the streaming platform.
