Au terme des six kilomètres de la course nocturne et solidaire de Rousson, samedi soir, l’Alésien a battu au sprint Sophian Boualam.
After thunderous applause in tribute to the formidable ambassador of adapted sport that was Kévin Lapeyre, a member of Athlé Nîmes 30 who recently passed away, it was a peloton of 340 runners who set off on Saturday 21 December under the starry night of the Rousson nighttime charity race. Some had to cover 11 km in pairs (see box), others had to compete solo on a 6 km circuit.

He won at the end of a spectacular sprint, won at the expense of the event favourite, Sophian Boualam (18’13’’), a member of Alès C2A. “It was very hot, but I didn't give up of course, especially when Sophian started up the pace again”, confided the strong man of the night.
It was another representative of Alès C2A, Alexandre Pugnière, who won the bronze in 19’24’’, just ahead of his promising cadet teammate Paolo Paulsen (19’55’’), who has a good reputation, and Christophe Fischer, also a member of Alès C2A (20’08’’).
The 10th and final round of the Gard Trophy for night duos took place on Saturday December 21 in Rousson, on an 11 km course. There were no surprises: the favorites Benjamin Ruedas and Nicolas Aubert, the “Unknowns of
Domessargues”, easily won in 43’16’ ahead of Laurent Maldan and Aurélien Rivier (45’13’’).
In mixed duos, Gardois Mélanie Hrebicek and Anthony Bernard (team Got), finished far ahead in 45’22, with a 3rd place overall at the key.
In the women's duos, new victory for Marion and Agathe Barlaguet (Domessargues Running, 50’37’’).
Among the women, who were seventy-five at the start, no sprint finish but a new victory for Alésienne Nora Boukhelifa, who won in exactly 23'. “Six kilometers is a bit of a short distance for me but hey, I didn't do too badly”, commented the winner.
Anaïs Dureuil, her teammate from Alès C2A, limited the gaps very well by completing the distance in 23'16''. It was a representative of the organizing club, ACN Anduze, Angélique Larguier, who climbed onto the third step of the podium in 24’45’’.
Another member of Alès C2 A, Delphine Bazer-Bachi (24’56’’), and Noëllys Casas (Aix Athlétisme, 25’07’’), completed the top 5.
The last two races of the year 2024 will take place on Monday, December 30 with the Bagnols-sur-Cèze Christmas Holiday Race (6.9 km, start at 6 p.m.) and the Caissargues Hivernale (7.5 km, start at 7 p.m.).
