IN BRIEF

  • Jean-Baptiste Boursier left BFMTV for the TF1 group
  • During an interview with our colleagues at Télé 7 jours, the journalist confided in his private life
  • And he revealed that he is the happy father of a little girl

After several years on BFMTV, Jean-Baptiste Boursier arrived on the TF1 group. Indeed, the journalist is the host of the morning show on LCI but also the official joker of Gilles Bouleau for the 8 p.m. news on TF1. And in this Christmas holiday period, it is thus the new meeting place for French TV viewers.

For our colleagues at Télé 7 jours, the journalist returned to this career change. “It's a first time that I will remember all my life. I approached this moment with a lot of humility. I was very moved to find myself in this monument of French journalism. I am aware of having an exceptional chance”, he confides, kindly and very grateful. “It's also a responsibility immense than to carry the work of the entire TF1 editorial team, to highlight it and to live up to this contract of trust, which binds us to six million television viewers. I can't wait to repeat the experience”.

Jean-Baptiste Bouriser: his confidences on his private life

It was also an opportunity for Jean-Baptiste Boursier to confide in his private life and to reveal a little more: “For a year, I have been the fulfilled father of a little girl, and, as for most parents, her birth is my eyes the most beautiful thing in the world that has ever happened to me”, he reveals.

The journalist, very happy in his private life, is just as happy in his career: “Our results on LCI are extremely positive. We have just passed the five-point audience share mark on a slot that was at 3.8 before we restructured it, nearly a year and a half ago. I have a great team. We're having a great time.

The journalist, satisfied with his work on LCI and TF1

Thus, the former BFMTV star says he is very satisfied with the turn of his career: “I am very proud of the quality of their expertise. There is rigor, but also humor, and I have the feeling that the viewers are happy to share this moment with us. I specify that it is my friend Karim Bennani, columnist on Bruce Toussaint's morning show, who will replace me during my absence”, he confides.

Thus, Jean-Baptiste Boursier hopes to have another chance on TF1 to be able to learn the ropes, and perhaps become one day number 1 at the presentation of the JT.
