Spread the love

If you want to leave Google Chrome, Safari or Microsoft Edge, Arc, developed by The Browser Company, is today one of the best alternatives that exist on the internet. Thanks to its radically different interface and its unique approach to tab management, Arc is a small revolution in the world of web browsers. And besides, it already has a lot of fans. This year alone, the number of users of the Arc browser has increased fourfold.

At the same time, Arc developers realized that while the browser has many loyal users, it is too complicated, too different from the interfaces of browsers classics, for a large part of the general public. But, instead of simplifying Arc, which could frustrate loyal users, the developers have opted for another option: developing a second browser that will be more familiar to the general public.

In other words, Arc will continue to exist, but The Browser Company will offer another product that will be less intimidating and therefore more likely to appeal to the masses. According to The Verge, the company plans to create a browser that people can easily adopt. The user should therefore have no difficulty in the first 90 seconds of use. But then, this browser will gradually reveal its potential.

A second browser for the general public

Indeed, the idea is not to develop a classic browser, but rather to offer a product with a familiar interface that will also include a lot of innovation. Unfortunately, The Browser Company is quite vague at the moment. But it already has some ideas in mind and suggests that the new browser will be centered on AI. The Browser Company would also like to offer a browser that, thanks to automation functions and anticipation of the Internet user's needs, will allow people to complete their tasks on the browser more quickly. In essence, it could be a powerful productivity tool.

For the moment, it is not known when this new browser will be available. And at this stage, The Browser Company is still studying many prototypes. In any case, the company's strategy is clear. It wants to meet the needs of two different categories of users. On one side, there are the “power users” who are comfortable with Ark. And on the other side, there is a wider audience, which will be targeted by the second browser.

  • Thanks to its interface that is radically different from those of other browsers, Arc appeals to many Internet users
  • However, its developer is aware that, because it is too different, Arc is not made for all Internet users
  • As a result, the company has decided to develop a second product that will be less intimidating, but will also include powerful productivity features
  • For the moment, we do not have a date, and the developer explains that he is still studying several prototypes
