On April 9, 2024, Françoise Laborde revealed surprising details about her retirement on the set of Chez Jordan, comparing her current income to those of his career television.
She has always been frank… In April 2024, Françoise Laborde, former presenter of the France 2 television news, was a guest on the set of the show Chez Jordan, broadcast on C8. Catherine Laborde's sister had a lucrative career and now enjoys a generous pension. “I won't say how much I get in retirement, but I earn more in retirement than my sons do by working. So, in a way, I find that it's not normal”, she had declared.
Amused by such a statement, Jordan de Luxe exclaimed: “I've never had that on my show, someone who tells me 'I get too much retirement”. While he indicated that the maximum pension was 5,200 euros in any case, Françoise Laborde replied: “Oh, I think it's more than that, I know people who get more than that in retirement. Me, I don't get more than 5,200 euros, I'm below that. But my children who are starting out in life are on 2,000-3,000 euros and I find that there's something not completely normal about that”.
200% Deposit Bonus up to €3,000 180% First Deposit Bonus up to $20,000In all transparency, the former journalist added: “I also find that when you are in my case, in good health, with all your wits and in a state to work, you should be able to continue to workand not be forced to retire as has been the case my case”.
During a previous interview with Jordan de Luxe, she had already revealed that she earned “between 6,000 and 7,000 euros per month for the newspaper”. “That's about the same amount as what I earned at CSA. You have a salary as a collaborator at France 2, and depending on the bars you have on your shoulder, if you are editor-in-chief, you are better paid that if you're just a journalist”, she explained.
“I was editor-in-chief, so I was paid for that. Afterwards, when you are a replacement, you don't get any extra money because you are a replacement. We don't give you a bonus, but we are already happy to go on air. A Laurent Delahousse, that's more today”, she had indicated.
In all transparency, Françoise Laboarde had added: “My sister was paid more than me, it must have been around 10,000 euros per month. TF1 paid more than the public service. I don't know if she was getting 10,000 euros, it must have been around 7,000 or something like that”.
