French IoT 2024: after 10 years of success, La Poste continues to celebrate startups

Launched in 2015, the French IoT Impact x Technology competitioncelebrates its 10th anniversary this year. This tradition, now well established, allows the La Poste group to highlight a dozen innovative startups each year in four areas that are close to the group's heart: proximity, the public sector, businesses and health. .

As usual, the company emphasizes the values ​​that are dear to it. Thus, parity will once again be required among the directors of the winning companies. A concrete commitment to responsible and humanistic digital technology is also sought. La Poste also wants to support startups that are well established in their territory.

While applications are now open via the website concours-french-iot.laposte.fr (January 29 – February 23, 2024), here is everything you need to know about this 2024 edition .

4 challenges to change the world

In 2024, the French IoT competition is banking on 4 inspiring challenges:

  • Proximity services: the ambition is to offer users quick, simple and personalized access to their place of work or life .
  • Business services: These are innovations aimed at supporting the transformation of businesses in a responsible and secure manner.
  • Health services: La Poste intends to support technologies that improve prevention and streamline the care pathway in health establishments as well as in home.
  • Services for the public sector: The ambition is to support the development of public services in the region.

Startups wishing to participate in this French IoT Impact x Technology competition have until February 23, 2024 to register. As every year, the lucky winners will be announced during the VivaTech exhibition which will be held in Paris from May 22 to 25.

As every year, the selected startups will be very seriously supported by the La Poste group which will facilitate their development. Among the advantages, we can notably cite the integration of the Booster Entrepreneurs program which lasts 6 months, including 3 days of bootcamp and coaching workshops led by experts from high level.

The public group is also committed to supporting these companies during their fundraising via referrals to investors such as La Poste Ventures, Open CNP, 115K, and Bpifrance. business connections are also on the menu and this is a boon for businesses which are sometimes looking for their first clients.

Finally, access to La Poste's digital solutions is an appreciable plus, particularly for carrying out technical tests, certain usage tests, and for greater peace of mind in the daily operation of companies.

This support method, now well established, has proven itself. Since the launch of French IoT in 2015, no less than 126 companies have been helped thanks to the program. In total, this accelerator operated by Docaposte, the group's digital subsidiary, runs a community of more than 380 startups.

For the sixth consecutive year, La Poste is offering this competition intended to promote the place and capacity for innovation of women in digital technology. This year, participants have until March 1, 2024 to apply. In total, 13 projects will be highlighted, including one for each region.

The public company intends to distinguish innovative digital services (application, connected object, platform, etc.) or a digital service solution. These technologies must be applied in sectors that are important to the group: health, local development, environmental issues, solidarity, fight against inequalities.

The selected entrepreneurs will receive a contribution of 2000 eurosfrom the La Poste group. They will also be supported by the KissKissBankBank platform to launch a crowdfunding campaign. The winner of the competition will also obtain an additional contribution of 2000 euros from the group to her campaign.

The icing on the cake, this “super favorite La Poste #FemmesduNumérique” will be presented at the Viva Technology show. The opportunity to give a welcome spotlight to these leaders.
