While he celebrated his 70th birthday, the husband of Lola Marois does not hide the fact that he has a hard time accepting his age. “The 70s are hard ?”, asked Jordan De Luxe straight away in his daily show this Friday, December 20 on C8. “Oh, fuck, no, it's not going“, immediately retorted the comedian, before detailing his health problems.

Despite his advancing age, Jean-Marie Bigard continues his numerous professional projects on stage. He also regularly appears on RTL where he is a member of the Grosses Têtes alongside Isabelle Mergault, Gérard Jugnot and François Berléand. A sustained pace that the father of Sasha, Jules and Bella must reconcile with a health that is failing him.
Rheumatoid arthritis, a disease that causes the progressive destruction of cartilage and bone, prevents him from walking properly and from standing for more than 15 minutes. “You feel like you're walking on hot coals,” he explained to the bow-tie presenter. “You sleep a little awakened by the suffering. You have a bad position that wakes you up”, he continued, revealing that he also has diabetes “which doesn't help.”
Jean-Marie Bigard says he is “pessimistic” about his future
While humor has made Jean-Marie Bigard's reputation for years on TV sets, the man of the stage is now much darker. “I'm closer to the finish line than the starting line”, he said to Jordan De Luxe about the passing of time, specifying that he had struggled to accept the decline in his success.
“Is morale, çis it going?”, then asked, worried, the presenter of C8. “Yes, morale, it's still going because I'm alive. And as long as I'm alive, I'm happy“, qualified Jean-Marie Bigard who had a full house in 2004 by bringing together more than 50,000 people at the Stade de France. A feat!
