It was Jean-Luc Petitrenaud's last trip. On Friday, January 17, 2025, the food journalist was buried at the churchSaint-Pierre-du-Gros-Caillouin the 7th arrondissement of Paris. At 2:30 p.m., his farewell ceremony opened in the presence of his loved ones. And to say goodbye, everyone respected the imposed dress code. Indeed, very little black paraded on the parvis of the church. A way of bringing a little cheerfulness to this sad event.

Moreover, among the guests, big names made the trip. Among them: Laurent Mariotte, Yves Camdeborde, Jean-François Piège, Christian Constant, Pierre Bonte, Valérie Expert, Laurent Cabrol, Canteloup, Philippe Lavil, Véronique de Villèle or Denis Brogniart. Some have opted for navy blue, others for pink or even green and beige. But among the guests, there was especially the family of the deceased including his two children, Louise and Antonin

Saddened by the loss of their father, Louise and Antonin united in grief. In the images of the funeral revealed, they can be seen arm in arm, as if to bear the weight of the pain. Louise, in tears, clings tightly to her brother. Both of them file behind Jean-Luc Petitrenaud's coffin to accompany him to the end. As a reminder, at the announcement of the journalist's death, both had taken the time to thank “the people who loved him so much during these years”.

It was on January 10, 2025 that the death of Jean-Luc Petitrenaud was announced by AFP. According to the agency's information, the food journalist died “surrounded by his loved ones” at the age of 74. Until 2017, Jean-Luc Petitrenaud worked to introduce the public to gastronomy. But on July 1st of this year, the press had announced his withdrawal. “Tired”, the journalist had decided to be replaced by Carinne Teyssandier. In 2006, his show Les escapades de Petitrenaud had ébeé stopped suddenly by France 5 which had dealt him a big blow.
