Future nursing assistants and nurses discovered the Bagnols-sur-Cèze Health Care Training Institute

An open day was organized on Saturday. A human-sized structure whose courses are full every year. And the students all find a job at the end of their studies.

90 people passed through the door of the Institute for Training in Health Professions in Bagnols-sur-Cèze, Saturday January 18 for the establishment's traditional open day. Potential future nursing and nursing assistant students came to discover the courses offered at the Bagnols school. And to attract them, the IFMS played its best card: that of proximity. “The teachers really know us, slip four student volunteers to participate in the day. It's a real chance, we feel supported throughout our years of training.”
Here, the nursing student classes are made up of 70 students, around twenty per class of nursing assistants. “It's an IFMS on a human scale,” explains Estelle Tropin, a member of the teaching staff. We try to personalize the teaching as much as possible to make them good caregivers.”

A job at the end of the course

This is why the Institute has preferred, unlike other schools, to require students to complete internships in different departments and structures. “It is very educational to see the differences and it helps us to project ourselves”, continue the students. At the end of their studies, they all quickly find a job, in Bagnols or elsewhere. “With Parcoursup, we have students who sometimes come from far away, continues Estelle Tropin. They sometimes prefer to return to their region to work, but we don't have graduates who can't find a job. There is still a shortage of caregivers everywhere.” However, there are many candidates. Every year, waiting lists are created from the announcement of the results until the start of the school year. “We start our school years with the maximum quota of students. Parcoursup registrations continue until March 13 for students from high school. We also welcome students in continuing education, who have already been working for several years, explains Estelle Tropin. The competitions for the latter will begin shortly.”
