The transfer will arrive less than a month after the previous one.

This is news that will delight more than 4 million retirees. Every month, they wait (impatiently) for their pension to be paid, which is the only source – or at least the majority – of their income. In some pension schemes, the payment is not always made on the same day, unlike others. With dates that vary each month, it's hard to have the exact calendar in mind.

In September, some retirees will have the pleasant surprise of receiving a transfer earlier than usual and, above all, less than a month after the previous one. An advanced payment simply due to the calendar.

Retirees receiving a pension from the National Retirement Fund for Local Government Employees (CNRACL) will indeed see the money arrive earlier than usual at the end of the month. These former workers in the territorial or hospital civil service receive their pensions during the last days of the month, on a different date each time. At the end of September, the 1.6 million pensioners will see their accounts credited from Thursday, September 26.

But that's not all. Other retirees will also benefit from their pensions “in advance”. From Friday, September 27, the 2.5 million beneficiaries of the state pension will receive their monthly salary. These are former members of the army and various administrations (Economy, Education, Equipment, Interior, Justice), but also the former PTT (La Poste and Orange).

These payments are made on these dates because the prevailing rule is to pay pensions one or two days before the last working day (Monday to Friday) of the month. But be careful not to act like a grasshopper and brag, the next payment will not take place until October 29 and 30. So be careful to manage your budget well.
