For a few months now, the social network X has allowed anyone who wants to get the verification check mark, via its Premium subscription. Offered from €9.60/month, the Premium subscription also allows you to benefit from various advantages, such as half as many ads, a boost in responses, access to the Grok AI or even a compensation program. And recently, X has decided to change the latter, whose revenues will no longer be based on the display of advertisements, but on engagement.

Towards the spam fair on X ?

Indeed, until now, the X network based its remuneration system on the reach of publications. The more popular a post was, the more money it brought in to its author. From now on, it is engagement that will be the key to this same remuneration. The more replies a post gets, the more money it will earn its author.

Be careful though, only replies from Premium accounts will be counted. According to the social network, this will allow Premium subscribers to support each other, and incidentally promise better compensation.

Obviously, if the X network has already become a favorite haunt for fake news propagators and all those whose main activity is to try to garner views, this news risks bringing new problems to the surface.
