Google Flights will help you to find the cheapest flights. In an announcement published on Wednesday, the firm announced an update to this service that will be deployed worldwide and that will introduce a new tab, in the search, that will help you filter the results by considering only the price. In fact, Google explains that Flights currently selects the best options for the user by taking into account both price and convenience.

Google helps you find the best prices, but with some concessions

But the company admits that some users may seek out the cheapest options, even if it means making some concessions. “For example, there might be a third-party booking site that offers a lower price than the airline itself. Or you might be able to save by returning to a different airport in the same city you flew from,”, Google explains. And to help those people, the new tab will appear in Google Flights search results, alongside the list of top options.

200% Deposit Bonus up to €3,000 180% First Deposit Bonus up to $20,000

A feature currently rolling out

After entering their travel information, the user will be able to select this new tab to find the best prices. But if this new feature does not yet appear when you search on Google Flights, that is normal, since Google indicates that it will be deployed over the next two weeks.

Otherwise, Google also warns that some options presented in the new tab may include longer stopovers or require you to buy from different companies or booking sites. But the firm lets the user decide what concessions they are willing to make to pay less.

  • Currently, Google Flights selects the options it displays based on price, but also convenience
  • However, the company will offer a tab in which it will display the cheapest options, even when this involves some concessions on the part of the user
  • The feature, currently being deployed, will be available worldwide
  • The idea is to display the lowest prices, and let the Internet user decide what concessions they can make to pay less
