Google Pixel: Google phones will soon be able to take your temperature

Announced alongside the Google Pixel 8, the featureé oacute; "thermometer" is getting ready & have a major update in Europe.

Back in 2023. At the end of the year, Google announced ;here were its latest smartphones, the Google Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro. The latter then had several major new features, including artificial intelligence and a large number of years of updates.

Among the new features introduced with the Google Pixel 8, there was also a thermometer integrated into the phone and capable of taking the temperature of your objects. At the time, Google made it clear that this function was not yet compatible with human body heat. An addition made in early 2024 in the United States and which should arrive very soon in Europe.

Several clues prove in particular that this addition would soon be offered on Google Pixel phones. We find in particular a new article available in several languages ​​(including French) which details the manipulation to to take your temperature.

To do this, simply place the phone close to your forehead, start a measurement and move the Google Pixel around your forehead. It should end up near your temple with a delay of four seconds.

Once the measurement is taken, it is possible to view it or even save it if you want to access it again. The thermometer feature will be available on the Google Pixel 8 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro, and Pixel 9 Pro XL.
