Google Pixel has its best quarter ever: here are the models that were the biggest hits

During this three-month period, Google is said to have recorded its highest volume of smartphones shipped in a quarter.

A hit for the Pixel 9 series ?

Unfortunately, Counterpoint doesn't provide more details. But it's very likely that this new Google Pixel record in the third quarter is attributed to sales of the Pixel 9 series, which was presented in August. This series is a bit unusual, since in total, Google released four new smartphones: the Pixel 9 which is the base model, the Pixel 9 Pro, the Pixel 9 Pro XL which has a larger screen, and the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, which is Google's new folding smartphone. It seems that the new AI-based features it has embedded in these smartphones, as well as its improvements in photography, have allowed Google to attract more customers.

It should also be remembered that to date, the Pixel 9 Pro XL is the second best smartphone on the market for taking photos and videos, according to DXOMARK's ranking. Google’s flagship has the same score as the Honor Magic6 Pro, and is ahead of Apple’s iPhone 16 Pro Max. Otherwise, in May, Google also unveiled the Pixel 8a, a mid-range smartphone. And it’s possible that the price-performance ratio of this device also boosted Google Pixel sales.
