The events took place around 10:35 a.m. during recess, at the Rosa-Parks high school, according to Le Parisien . Videos filmed from a classroom and the courtyard and broadcast on social networks show a student holding down a classmate, while a high school student hits him several times with a hammer. A violent attack, which ended when another teenager intervened and moved the armed person away. According to the local news site Actu Essonne, another student hit a classmate in the back with a crutch.

Two people were slightly injured. They were taken care of by the school nurses, the school management said in an internal message, consulted by Le Parisien . The parents of the victims were also alerted.
“Human reinforcements from the police and the National Education were deployed on site” on Friday and were present on Saturday “to ensure security within the grounds and on the way to the high school”, indicated Anne Genetet. The police will be “even more” present around the high school “in the coming days”, the department's prefect, Frédérique Camilleri, said on Friday.
