PARC ASTERIX. During the Halloween season, the Parc Asté ;rix transforms into “Fear in the Park”… Thrills guaranteed!
[Updated October 24, 2024 at 2:00 p.m.] To celebrate Halloween, Parc Astérix is stocking up on new features until November 11, 2024 with “Peur sur le Parc”. The famous park of the irreducible Gauls located in the Oise department in the Hauts-de-France region revisits its decoration in the colors of autumn with no less than 14 tons of pumpkins and 3,000 corn plants and bales of straw distributed in the paths of the park and hotels. The monsters, without forgetting the essential “man with the chainsaw”, of course arrive daily in the streets of the park and will not fail to surprise the bravest.
A major new feature of this 2024 edition is that the park is acquiring a new haunted house, “The Underworld of Pompeii”, located in the Roman zone, which invites visitors into the chaos of a volcanic eruption. Also prepare to attend terrifying nighttime events on October 25, 26, 30 and 31 and November 1, 2 and 9 from 7 p.m. to 1am, with a sound and light show on the attraction's iconic façadeOziris, the Monster Stroll, as well as the DJ set and aquatic show in the Sirius area. Due to the late-night events, reservations will be required on October 30 and 31 and November 1 and 2 to access the park. And that's not all, other, more spectacular events await you. New terrifying immersive haunted house: The Underworld of Pompeii : this new haunted house located in the Roman zone includes 7 rooms with breathtaking decor: a Roman villa, a market incandescent, a destroyed coliseum and molten thermal baths, with numerous effects reproducing lava flows, toxic fumes, or even sound effects…Not recommended for children under 16.
The Tomb of the Gods, a spectacular odyssey: a multisensory experience in the Egypt zone, where rest the most evil souls in the history of Egypt. The bravest visitors will have to face the 9 trials of the tomb of the Gods. Not recommended for children under 14.
The Catacombs : Landslides, mass graves, tunnels, corpses, nothing will be spared to the courageous visitors looking for a way out. With its 300 square meters, this haunted house includes 14 rooms where visitors will wander amidst unpleasant surprises!
The Wrath of Anubis: visitors wander through a collection of ancient Egyptian artifacts, however, disgruntled spirits have been released…
The Lost Mission experience takes visitors on a space expedition in search of a crew stranded on a strange planet. A close encounter of the 3rd kind is guaranteed with strange creatures, all in 3D.
The show Métamorphosis presents a live metamorphosis of a man into a frightening creature, lasting 15 minutes at the Théâtre de la Fontaine.
The return of the bar “Sanglier Borgne”, hidden in the park: a refuge where you can enjoy cocktails or even whiskeys from our ancestral lands, which visitors to the park must find thanks to the clues scattered around. The resolution of the enigma changes every day.
The Curse of Sirius: a mysterious ship that disappeared for almost a century, where the passengers, presumed to have been shipwrecked for a long time, are already looking forward to disembarking and meeting visitors. This artistic adventure includes two shows, “The Dance of the Castaways” and “The Last Dance of the Sirius”, as well as catering outlets. During the evenings, a live DJ set is offered to make visitors and mysterious passengers dance. Dark atmosphere guaranteed!
Horror Buffet at the Circus Restaurant : with dishes as delicious as they are terrifying, such as the cerebellum-style avocado called "baby cacamole", mini witch's finger hot dogs or wild boar sausages and Soissons beans cooked in the dog's bowl… Visitors will have the opportunity to meet new strange and dangerous characters, such as Jingo the Terror, the cannibal clown; Carmen, the tormented medium; or even a new circus performer. Locked in cages, these characters will be presented by Le Maître during the Buffet de l'Horreur.

Toutatis: the last of the roller coasters to open in 2023, which has accumulated all the records with 7 accelerations forward and backward, with a maximum speed of 110 km/h (French record). On more than 1,300 meters of circuit, visitors cross nearly 32 elements, including a 51-meter high vertical arrow, an inclined drop at 101°, 3 inversions, and experience 23 airtimes in the process, or a total of 23 moments when the speed makes the passengers fly out of their seats, which is a world record for a steel roller coaster. Three trains take turns, each made up of 5 vehicles that can accommodate 4 passengers (20 seats).
The Tower of Numérobis : Located in the Egyptian zone, it offers a panoramic view of the park and its surroundings. Visitors will be suspended up to 40 meters high during the three phases of this experience: the ascent, the panoramic rotation and the descent.
Thunder 2 Zeus : Under the gaze of Zeus, this roller coaster takes us to the top of Olympus to 30 meters high before propelling us to 84 km/h on a dizzying course of 1.2 km and 90 seconds of “thunder”. Minimum height required: 1m20
Watch out for Menhir!: The park's latest new feature for its 30th anniversary, visitors are seated on dynamic seats to watch a 4D film. The session takes place in a 300-seat theatre, called Studios Idéfix. The family attraction, lasting around twenty minutes (including 10 for the film), is packed with special effects, from images to sounds and smells. Panoramix receives a menhir on his head and goes crazy. The visitors will feel it!
Discobélix : This is the attraction that makes heads spin! Located in the Greek city of Olympia, the attraction features Obélix. You are installed on a disc that he will launch at full speed. Pégase Express: this roller coaster offers a thrilling journey around the world aboard a train from Ancient Greece. During the journey made of turns, climbs and big descents, you will encounter many humorous references to mythology, and this always through the world of comics so dear to Asterix! In total, there are 928 meters of rail and slalom points at more than 52 km/hour, largely bearable for the whole family. Welcome to the Gauls: here you are plunged in the daily life of pure-blooded Gallic villagers. A village that we know well since it is that of Astérix. Grab a map when you arrive and explore the park in an anti-clockwise direction, finishing at the end of the day with the site's flagship attraction, Zeus' Thunder.
Opt for the baby switch. If your children are not the required height, do not deprive yourself. Take turns on the attractions, while the other looks after the children, without having to wait in line again. Just let the staff know at each attraction.
Parc Astérix is located in the town of Plailly, about 30 km north of Paris. Access to the park is very simple, take the A1 motorway, between exits 7 and 8.
