On October 4, the world of the seventh art but especially France lost Michel Blanc, who died suddenly at the age of 72. The actor, who everyone knew from his role as Jean-Claude Dusse in the saga of Les Bronzés, suffered several heart attacks, which were caused by a rare allergic reaction: anaphylactic shock.

The members of the Splendid, his second family, were particularly touched, and spoke out in turn to express their sadness. Images of Gérard Jugnot collapsed, present at the Nice film festival while a tribute was being paid to his friend, went around France, and deeply moved the fans and friends of the actor.

The Splendid troupe, founded in 1974, brings together some of our most precious and talented French actors: Christian Clavier, Gérard Jugnot, Thierry Lhermitte, Josiane Balasko, Marie-Anne Chazel, Bruno Moynot and Michel Blanc.

Thierry Lhermitte had notably declared during an interview granted to the Parisian, about the loss of his friend : “The day Michel died, I didn't sleep, I read everything he had written, çit devastated me”,he explained. This Saturday, December 7, the actor was invited to the portrait of 50's Inside, led by TF1 journalist Isabelle Ithurburu.

The actor thus once again returned to the brutal death of Michel Blanc, this time in front of the camera. He explained with emotion: “Michel opened the ball, let's say. I haven't gotten used to it yet, to tell you the truth…”, he admitted to Thierry Lhermitte, before returning to his funeral, celebrated on October 10th at the church of Saint-Eustache.

The French actor then explained: “He wasn't in the box, he was with us laughing at what we were hearing because we caught up in fits of laughter, as we often do at funerals. And of course we imagined the nonsense he could have say”, he explained. The actor also returned to the famous message that the members of the Splendid wrote on a flower sprout : “Your colleagues from the Française d’intensité” : “As if it was a retirement ceremony… I think Michel would have laughed a lot with that”, he added.
