The match was balanced and unfortunately in the quarter of an hour of play, the MGC suffered a double numerical inferiority with the exits of Coste for 2 minutes and Cavalier for 4 minutes. The goalkeeper Marwane Soussi, impenetrable during these 4 minutes, allowed his teammates to stay afloat.
The MGC would put on a huge boost before half-time to take the lead at the break 12-7. The 2nd period would be a formality, the youngsters Vaugelade, Bonnefoy, Lacour and Sartre fired from all cylinders and the score reached 28-15 at the end of the match. The contract is fulfilled for the Lozériens who will be able to rest and observe their future opponent, Livron, who narrowly wins 26-25 against Montélimar.
Remobilisation
The 2nd match promises to be very tricky for Florent Bodin's men. Livron will play without complexes this first period. The Mendois have difficulty getting the machine going again and show a great lack of efficiency against the opposing goalkeeper. The slightly less mobile defense is overwhelmed too easily by the local passion and it is logical that Livron turns in the lead at the break 13-11.
After adjustments and a big remobilization at half-time, it is with a completely different face that the MGC will approach this 2nd period. The defense is heroic and the yellow and blue take the lead 16-15 in the 31st minute. Olivier Cavalier, Valentin Molinié and Erwan Pot are unstoppable and put on a show on the field. The match ended with a score of 26-22 for the MGC.

We will cross our fingers to receive in 32nd and offer a great event to the club and the Mende public.”
