Christian et Florence Saquet vont ranger leur tablier.
Florence et Christian Saquet éteignent leur four de leur boulangerie-pâtisserie (et chocolaterie) à Salles-Curan, le cœur chargé d’émotion.
Here is a letter from bakers-pastry chefs-chocolatiers Florence and Christian Saquet – touching in their sincerity – a letter that we are sending in its entirety as its content is unfortunately of daily relevance. The closure of an essential business like this one is always a bit of life that goes away, a bit of humanity… The “Pâtisserie des lacs” is an institution, with a great team. It developed the famous walnut cake “Le Pâstissous”, distributed throughout the region, which Florence and Christian will continue to make. The news of this closure is therefore likely to cause a stir. Many shop windows have already gone silent in our streets. Here is another one. Of course, tomorrow, there will still be bread in this high place of Lévezou. But the good smell of hot bread and croissants will be dispersed to the four winds. Here is the letter that Florence and Christian intend for their clients through our title:
200% Deposit Bonus up to €3,000 180% First Deposit Bonus up to $20,000“Nothing is done without passion. Passion is a continuous fire, an energy renewed every morning. To have it, you need the strength of health and the stubbornness of youth, the beauty of an ambitious project.
We had it for 20 years, for you, for us, in order to satisfy you and to make Salles-Curan shine as best we could. We have thus accomplished our job with rigor by loving it, with dedicated teams that we thank. To relight the oven and the faith, we had to consider a thousand and one strong gestures every morning.
But, alas, with the years and their certain weight, it is the common lot, the fingers, the hands, the shoulders, and especially the heart, seize up little by little, slowly, surely… So we had the enthusiasm that real know-how requires, we have it less. It has become dull like a blade that has been used too much. Repeated health problems, and the age that awaits us, have arisen leading to less motivation.
You are not unaware, because nothing is ignored in our charming village, that we have put our business up for sale for three years without finding a buyer. We needed one. One! It was not much but it was too much. We do not have it. We will therefore cease our activity on March 23rd.
“We thank our kind customers for their unwavering loyalty. Always keeping in mind the fragility of the moment to come, we will therefore move next spring towards other occupations that we have abandoned, too taken up by work and its demands. However, we will continue to make our specialty “Le Pâstissou. It is therefore important for us now, beyond the work accomplished and that which remains to be done, to calmly consider the rest of our lives.”
