Unbelievable but true. It is a macabre case that is about to be solved by the Spanish police. In November 2023, a man mysteriously disappears, before his dismembered body is discovered this Tuesday. But last week, two people, a woman (the missing man's partner) and a man (probably her lover), were arrested and imprisoned.
The investigators had enough evidence to be able to confuse them in this murder case.
To do this, the police used a technique that is at least unusual and is rarely used in criminal cases. You are probably familiar with Google Maps, this service that allows you to map different areas of the world, with the Street View option that gives you the possibility to immerse yourself in the streets of these maps.

In the small Spanish region of Tajueco, which has only about fifty inhabitants, this famous car from the web giant had not been there since 2009 and has decided to take a trip there in 2023.
< p>And as unlikely as it may seem, it is possible to see a man hiding a bag with a certain human shape, in the trunk of his car.
This is one of the elements that has allowed investigators to go back the lovers' trail, says the daily newspaper El Pais. However, the police had other clues, such as wiretaps.
The photo has since gone viral on the web, even sparking “mockery” for the way the authorities managed to arrest the two suspects. “You kill a man in a lost city and you get caught because of Google Maps, I can't believe it!”, wonders one internet user.
For now, the photo is still visible on the Google Street View site.
