This Thursday, December 12, 2024, a little girl was knocked down by a bus in Flers (Orne). Her life is in danger.

The accident in the middle of the afternoon this Thursday, around 3 p.m. Several dozen children from the Joseph-Morin-La Fontaine school had traveled to attend rehearsals for a CM1 class show when a 7-year-old girl was knocked down by a bus, reports Ouest France.

Seriously injured

In total, around sixty children were on the move this Thursday, according to the local daily. As they were about to go back to their school, a little girl fell on the road and her coat got caught in one of the wheels of the bus.

Following the accident, the young victim was seriously injured. She had to be airlifted by the Civil Security Dragon 50 as an absolute emergency to the University Hospital of Caen (Calvados). The girl's life is in danger.

“The children are fine, they are watching cartoons. They will be taken back to the establishment around 6 p.m., where they will be handed over to their parents”, indicated the first deputy mayor, although many witnesses were in a state of shock when help arrived.

“Enhanced psychological support for students and families is being put in place by state services. The hospital is also strengthening its pediatric emergency services to support parents and children who are unwell tonight. Call number: 15”, he added.
