The Pope is dead. At the Vatican, Cardinal Lawrence must organize the selection of the successor to the Holy Father, who died in a manner as unexpected as it was mysterious. In the corridors of the Vatican, political machinations intensify. And Cardinal Lawrence realizes that the deceased Pope had hidden a secret from them that he must discover before electing the new pontiff.

Conclave stands out as a particularly intense and breathtaking political and religious thriller. Led by Ralph Fiennes (Schindler's List), this feature film benefits from precise writing, meticulous staging and a formidably controlled rhythm. Quite simply captivating. AlloCiné viewers are particularly enthusiastic, giving it a score of 3.8 out of 5, while the press is content to rate the film 3.5 out of 5.

Adapted from the eponymous novel that won the Prix Goncourt in 2018, Their Children After Themtakes us to August 1992 in a lost valley in the East. There, young Anthony is bored… Until he crosses paths with Stéphanie, with whom he immediately falls madly in love. That same evening, he secretly borrows his father's motorbike in the hope of finding her at a party. But when the motorbike disappears the next morning, his life changes. The film takes place over several years to follow the evolution of the main character and offer a generational fresco.

In The Children After Them, Paul Kircher shines brightly. The young actor, already widely noticed in The Animal Kingdom last year, also won the Marcello Mastroianni Award for Most Promising Actor at the Venice Film Festival last September. Angelina Woreth is also praised for her role. The film was rated 3.5 out of 5 by AlloCiné viewers and 3.6 by the press.
