Here's the clue that doesn't lie: the release of a new iPhone is (very) close

The iPhone 17 series won’t arrive until September. But in the meantime, another iPhone could be coming very soon. Rumors have been circulating for quite some time about a new model that will succeed the 2022 iPhone SE. And everything suggests that this new affordable iPhone will arrive in the first half of the year. Previously, journalist Mark Gurman (Bloomberg) had indicated in a publication that the new iPhone SE should be launched by April.

And this weekend, in his latest newsletter, the journalist mentions a new clue. As reported by our colleagues at MacRumors, Gurman explains that stocks of the 2022 iPhone SE are decreasing “rapidly” in a “large number” of Apple Stores in the United States. And this would be a “reliable sign” that the new model is on the horizon. In other words, stocks of the 2022 iPhone SE would gradually run out, making way for the 2025 models.

But, as usual, caution is advised until the information is official. In any case, it would be very logical for Apple to launch a new iPhone SE this year, given that the last model was released in 2022.

A highly anticipated launch

The launch of the iPhone SE 2025 is highly anticipated, since this model should be radically different from the one launched in 2022. Indeed, the new affordable iPhone would have an OLED type screen, and a modern design with a “borderless” design without a home screen. The new iPhone SE should also have the same camera as the iPhone 16, and it is rumored that this model would have 8 GB of RAM which would allow it to support Apple Intelligence features. And on the back, we would have a single 48-megapixel photo sensor.

In other words, Apple would be offering a relatively affordable product that would allow its fans to enjoy the same performance as the iPhone 16 and its latest AI features. Otherwise, it is important to remember that iPhones used in the EU do not yet support Apple Intelligence. However, Apple has already indicated that it will start rolling out its new AI features in our countries in April. Apple is also working on a French version of Apple Intelligence.
