In the summer, the feet are used a lot. There are therefore some recommendations to keep them in the best possible condition.
Summer is the perfect time to put your feet out in the open air. Sandals, flip-flops, slides, bare feet in the sand, they can finally breathe. However, it is always more enjoyable to have well-groomed feet to show them off. However, it is not always a reflex to take care of them and many mistakes are also made when caring for feet.
It is above all necessary to wash your feet well during the shower, without forgetting the spaces between the toes, before drying them well. Elisa Siivonen, beautician at the beauty center Fenix, to the newspaper Iltalehti , adds that it is important to apply moisturizer to your feet daily, especially to the soles of your feet. If your skin is dry and your heels are cracked, it is a sign of dehydration. The expert also recommends filing your feet once a month, preferably after showering.

In addition to foot care, another part is important: the nails. They must be cut in a straight line and the white part must always remain at least slightly visible. You should also not round the corners too much because the nail protects the end of the toe. Applying nail polish is not a problem if it is of good composition and you alternate with phases without nail polish in order to let your nails breathe in turn.
Another common mistake can damage your feet. Indeed, if you walk around barefoot or with open shoes, you must put on sunscreen. The tops of the feet are often forgotten while it is a sensitive area.
The choice of shoes is also important: it must be made according to their usefulness. Flip-flops are rather recommended for the beach and short outings. For sandals, avoid choosing the flattest ones, even 1cm in height is enough, and favor those with straps to better support the foot. It is also advisable to wear shower sandals around swimming pools to avoid a possible infection especially if you have fragile feet. If you follow all these tips, your feet will never have enjoyed summer so much!
