She has long disappeared from the radar. Bambou finally breaks the silence in a memoir entitled Pas à not in the night, published on November 7th by ééditions XO. This book confidence, powerful, poetic and of a rare delicacy”, as indicated on the back cover, traces the tumultuous childhood of its author, her arrival in Paris but also her 13-year relationship with Serge Gainsbourg.

The last companion of “the man with tête de chou” also devotes several lines to the boy born from this passionate love story, Lulu Gainsbourg. Born in 1986, the child of the ball now follows in the footsteps of his illustrious father whose shadow looms over his career. As proof, his first album, From Gainsbourg to Lulu, released in 2011, is intended as a tribute to the man who passed away more than 30 years ago.

Bambou: what has become of his son Lulu Gainsbourg ?

Author of less than five albums recorded over a decade, Lulu Gainsbourg seems to have difficulties establishing herself in the French musical landscape. He's struggling”, recently confided in his mother in the columns of Libération. “More composer than performer, he worries about the melodies while his partner takes care of the lyrics. He also tries his hand at soundtracks for the cinema”, our colleagues specify.

In the same article, Bambou explains that he preferred to devote himself to the education of his son rather than persevere at all costs in singing. “I passed on values, principles to her.
