Would you like a mojito waffle or a pina collada waffle ? Elisa Lario is 24 years old and full of enthusiasm. So on December 21, she took the plunge and opened her own place, in the heart of Montpellier. Her tea room combines her two passions: baking and music. Music, because she was born into it, in Marseille, through her mother, a music teacher, and her father, a DJ. She herself sings, plays the piano and the guitar. A few notes, and there she is having fun. So she decided to share it in her tea room with a blind test every Friday: films, series, 80s… Saturday karaoke will arrive later. And every day, a particularly well-crafted playlist around a chosen theme.

“Here, everything is homemade”

That's for the atmosphere, but the heart of her project is baking. Cakes: cookies, brownies, cakes, and therefore these cocktail waffles… without alcohol. “I've been baking for nine years, she specifies. I like it a lot. Here, everything is homemade. And I decided to combine my two passions. It’s a concept that you don’t see everywhere. Yes, of course, it's a bit scary to start like that, we don't know if it's going to work but if we don't start now, we'll never start.” She also offers savory lunch options, also entirely homemade.

Also pastry classes

For now, from Tuesday to Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. (1 p.m. to 7 p.m. on weekends), Elisa awaits her customers in her Partea Time, 4 rue de la Barralerie, a concept that she created entirely. Expect to pay between €4.20 and €5 for a cake, brownie or cookie. In her cozy tea room, with its 20 seats, Elisa will also give pastry classes. The first one takes place this Sunday January 19 (remember to book). And for the blind test, come this Friday, January 17, at 5:30 p.m. The young owner will welcome you with a big smile.
