Little Soon after their arrival, Liam began to feel unwell, thinking he had food poisoning: “It was left uncovered for long periods of time, then reheated repeatedly before being consumed .”
Victim Diarrhea, fever and extreme fatigue left the young groom confined to his room, having to go to the toilet up to 30 times a day. To avoid complications on the return flight, he even stopped eating.
Once back in the UK, his weakened state required hospitalization , specifies the British daily newspaper.
This nightmare trip cost the couple 3,000 euros: “We would have preferred to choose another destination to start our life together well.”
Faced with this disastrous experience, the newlyweds decided to call on a specialist lawyer The latter said it had received more than 1,400 similar reports from travellers who fell ill after a stay in Cape Verde, citing insufficient health standards. He hopes to obtain compensation for his clients.
