House of the Dragon: season 2 will be a butchery, be prepared

© HBO

Since fall 2022, fans of House of the Dragon, the spin-off series from Game of Thrones, have been impatiently awaiting the season 2. The last episode left us with incredible suspense and tension, so much so that we all want to see what happens next. However, we will have to wait until next year, but before that, new elements of the plot have just leaked. (Spoiler alert, the rest of the plot reveals major elements of the story).

Indeed , Redanian Intelligence, a specialized blog on Game of Thrones, or even The Lord of the Rings, and The Witcher, had access to important information. As always, and in the absence of official confirmation, we must remain cautious, but they seem quite credible.

A very violent start to season 2

Thus, the first episode of season 2 will be called “A Son for a Son” (A son for a son). This is a very clear reference to what happened at the end of the first season. We have indeed witnessed the death of Lucerys, the son of Rhaenyra and Daemon. As we can imagine, the couple will want revenge.

We also know thanks to the book that they will call on two characters named Blood and Cheese. The latter will be responsible for sneaking into the Red Keep and killing one of Aegon's sons. If we believe the specialized site, the series will therefore get off to a flying start and will immediately draw blood.

In any case, we can hope for a release of this sequel to House of the Dragon in 2024, because its filming in the United Kingdom is not currently impacted by the workers' strike. current actors in Hollywood. On the other hand, its passage through post-production could be disrupted by the strike of the writers who are often called to resolve certain consistency problems.

We also know that it should only have eight episodes instead of ten planned initially. If some observers believed that this was one of the consequences of cost reduction initiated by HBO, the channel denied these assertions. In reality, this decision was made for the needs of the storyline, and a major battle was postponed to season 3 (the series could have four in total).

Had you watched the first season from House of the Dragon? And if so, are you, like us, impatient to see what happens next? Tell us in the comments.
