Last summer, it was with pride that Florent Manaudou was the flag bearer of the French delegation at the Paris Olympic Games. An unforgettable experience, enhanced by his two titles won in the pools: two bronze medals in the 50m freestyle and the 4x100m medley relay.
But since the competition ended, Laure Manaudou's brother has been feeling a touch of nostalgia. Indeed, the athlete has returned to live in the south of France. “It's weird not to have the beautiful Paris 2024 in my head anymore. That's it, it's gone, it's over. There's a void, a bit of sadnessand these were perhaps my last Games”, he had declared on Instagram on 14 august

Los Angeles is a bit far. I have to mourn Paris, which was incredible, but also a little bitmourn my career.”
At 34, the handsome man is getting ready to hang up the competition, at least in the pools. “It was flawless, and so, it adds even morea difficult sideafterwards, because we want to relive emotions like that and we know that we won't relive them. We look at the images and we cry while watching them…“, insisted Lola Dumenil's companion.
If Florent Manaudou is retiring from high-level sports, the swimmer is getting ready to experience strong emotions on the floor this time. Indeed, he will be part of the next season of Dancing with the Stars. On his Instagram account, he publishes videos of his preparation for the competition broadcast on TF1. There is no doubt that the champion takes the competition very seriously.
“I like dancing. From there to dancing for hours and hours… We'll see if I like it”, the Olympic medalist confided to TV Monaco. “It's mostly the challenge of being able to learn something new and to impress my mates because they think I'm going to be bad”, joked Florent Manaudou who now intends to shine elsewhere than in the pools!
