Riot Games has recently unveiled the new champion &agrav; come to League of Legends. And the first feedback seems very negative.
League of Legends may have over 160 characters, but that doesn't stop Riot Games from releasing new champions every year. New champion releases are usually a turning point in the game, as they are regularly among the best characters for the first few weeks after their release.
The next champion to come to League of Legends, however, has not failed to make players react. This will notably involve the first original character from the “Arcane” series broadcast on Netflix to be added to the game: Ambessa. The least we can say is that her skills are numerous and have something to impress as the reactions were quick to appear on social networks.
The point that has surely shocked the players the most is Ambessa's passive skill. Each time the latter uses a skill, her next attack or movement allows her to leap forward. This allows her to get very close to enemies who are at a distance, particularly shooters (more commonly called “AD Carry”).
But Ambessa's other skills aren't bad either: the Noxian warrior is able to equip a shield, slow down her targets, send them into the air, and stun them. A whole range of skills that make the character extremely aggressive and difficult to dodge. But the final touch is undoubtedly the fact that Ambessa doesn't have mana to cast her skills, but simply energy. She is therefore able to chain her spells if the players manage to perform the right combos.
On social networks, reactions to the Ambessa kit are already very negative. Many criticize Riot Games for only offering champions with a lot of mobility, which leaves few options for the oldest characters in the game who can hardly escape from them.
On the social network X (formerly Twitter), several Internet users are calling in particular for ban the champion from all ranked online League of Legends games until Riot Games steps in to reduce Ambessa's damage and abilities. It must be said that new champions have had the unfortunate habit in recent years of being far too powerful and requiring some adjustments from the developers in the weeks following their release.
