La victime de l’oubli a 85 ans et avait réclamé une assistance réservée aux personnes ayant des difficultés à se déplacer. La compagnie aérienne pointe une erreur de la part de son prestataire.

Elia, 85, regularly travels back and forth between Lisbon, where her son lives 2 hours from the Portuguese capital, and Orly, where her daughter lives in the Paris region. This time, according to information from Parisien, things did not go as planned.

“My grandmother, who I was supposed to pick up at Orly, simply called me and said, 'I think I've been forgotten. Her plane was supposed to take off at 3:10 p.m. and she wasn't on it!'” explains Hugo, Elia's grandson. In addition, the victim of forgetfulness can hardly move. “We had asked for assistance and my mother was simply left alone”, explains Clotilde, Elia's daughter.

An arrival shortly before midnight

“She was waiting at Terminal 1 while Transavia flights were taking off from Terminal 2”, explains Clotilde who made numerous calls at the time of the incident. Finally, despite her difficulties, Elia made her way to Terminal 2 on her own where she was able to take another plane. Supposed to arrive on French soil at 6:45 p.m., she ended up arriving just before midnight.

“Between the two, you have to take a shuttle because you leave the airport between the two terminals. She did everything by herself”, says Clotilde, who does not rule out filing a complaint. Transavia apologized and said “that there was a problem with our service provider on site who did not take her to the right terminal”. However, the lady's suitcase has still not been found with her medication inside.
