Joan Caudullo, Lenni Nouchi et Auguste Cadot se sont présentés en conférence de presse après la victoire écrasante (59-15) contre les Gallois des Ospreys, ce samedi 14 décembre.

Joan Caudullo, MHR manager : “It's nice. I'm happy today, but in ten minutes, we'll switch to Racing 92. This match is important to know where we'll be in the months to come. Afterwards, we're happy with the guys' performance and what they did. I think they enjoyed themselves today and they gave some to the people who came.

We built our match. We constantly put pressure on the opponent and at one point, when we had chances, we put them in and that's what I want to remember. We didn't do things backwards, I was afraid of overplaying.”

“Jo said we had to switch quickly”

Lenni Nouchi, third row and captain of the MHR : “We were keen to show our offensive qualities because until now, we relied a lot on our defense. It worked rather well but we had a bit of trouble setting up our offensive systems. And there, we succeeded for 80 minutes.

When you're in a situation like ours, you have to do everything to win every match. Of course, this competition is very important. We remember that when Montpellier was struggling, the European Cup did a lot of good. These matches allow us to continue our momentum, win matches and keep a positive dynamic for next week. Jo (Caudullo) said that we had to turn things around quickly. We felt that he was a little worried about this reception of Racing.”

Auguste Cadot, MHR center: “This is the first almost complete match that we have played since the beginning of the year, with almost 60 points. We are satisfied, but it can allow us to move up to the Top 14 above all. We made a few mistakes, but it is above all our defense, our strong point, which allowed us to have good balls, a lot of turnovers, that is what also put us in it. But offensively, this is the first match where we can say that we are satisfied with the result.

We have had a great collective evolution since the beginning of the year. It is between the first match that we were able to play and this one, there is a two-level gap. It means that we are working in the right direction, that we are working hard. We must not relax because we are a team still in the middle of the table, we have come a long way.”
