“I thought I was doing the right thing”. A mother had just bought a house in Néris-les-Bains, in the Creuse, and decided to offer it to a homeless couple who had moved her during a television appearance, for a rent of 500 euros, charges included.

But soon, low-income tenants are no longer able to pay this amount. “They only pay us for electricity today”, explains the owner to France Bleu.

While she has to repay a loan for this house, she is now forced to sell her property. “I do not regret my gesture, assures -she to our colleagues, but I didn't think that it would put me in difficulty myself, with the inflation that has arrived.”< /p>

To get out of this bad situation, the mother now hopes to find a rehousing solution for her unfortunate companions. She says she helped them take steps to find social housing . No success so far.
