He did not focus his speech on the controversial ZFE, this low-emission zone, in force in Montpellier since January 1, supposed to exclude the most polluting vehicles in the heart of the Metropolis. But the president of the Chamber of Trades and Crafts, Christian Poujol returned to it during his New Year's wishes on Friday, January 24 at the CMA headquarters: “I don't believe in Santa Claus, or in beautiful promises. I want a moratorium written in black and white”, stressed Christian Poujol to the attention of the president-mayor Michaël Delafosse. The latter was not present at this ceremony despite the invitation of the president.
200% Deposit Bonus up to €3,000 180% First Deposit Bonus up to $20,000Christian Poujol remained sober but recalled his opposition which had upset the municipal majority… “Be careful, cities like Paris Toulouse or Marseille are issuing fines by applying the ZFE”, complained the president again. And this is even if in Montpellier, no fines should come into force for the next two years. Christian Poujol also highlighted other subjects that annoy: “Traffic in Montpellier where you have to go around the city to connect one district to another” or “traffic jams which are so much wasted time for artisans and so much more pollution”.
Christian Poujol wanted to be mostly positive. He gave many examples where the services of the Chamber of Trades came to the aid of artisans in difficulty. He highlighted “a large number of business creations” despite “a very difficult economic situation”. He thanked the regular presence of a judge from the commercial court to hold a permanent office there… He also brought in a baker from Sérignan who was in difficulty with a neighboring supermarket. A poignant speech of sincerity, while the president of the CCI, André Deljarry promised to find solutions.
Christian Poujol invited the artisans “to look beyond the difficulties” by recalling the fundamental values of craftsmanship: “Passion, know-how, transmission and courage”. Before ending on a gastronomic note by inviting the guests to taste the sweets concocted by the apprentices of the house of CMA Formation Montpellier.
