The latest edition of Dancing with the Stars saw its broadcasting be permanently disrupted by an incident between two candidates. Indeed, the clash between Inès Reg and Natasha St-Pier caused a lot of ink to flow in the press. Thus relegating the competition to the background. Appointed partner by Inès Reg during this season. Christophe Licata has mentioned this case in a book. The dancer has also revealed that he was physically assaulted in the street.
“One evening, when I was coming back from rehearsals, (…) people caught me. And started hitting me. Fortunately, witnesses intervened and made them flee. But I didn't tell my wife, my family, the production or the police. I hid my bruises because I was afraid it would come out. I didn't trust anyone anymore“, revealed Christophe Licata during an interview with Parisien Friday, January 10, 2025.

Some more mature people behaved like 7 and a half year old girls. Just watch our elimination. They all went to congratulate Nico Capone and no one came to comfort us. And others took advantage of this story to draw light to them, which disgusted me“, declared Christophe Licata.
“I realized pretty quickly that there was a discomfort, so I went to our dressing room and got to the bottom of it. I was criticized for not taking a stand, for not being in solidarity with Anthony, but we didn't all see things the same way. Today, everything is better with everyone, but I know who I can count on. I was surprised by everything that happened, by the excitement around this little story“, also underlined the emblematic dancer of the TF1 program.
Christophe Licata also assured that he had been the victim of “injustice” with his partner. “We had the best marks with Inès. There was a big gap with the others. Once Keiona was eliminated, I thought we had a highway. And winning thanks to our level would have been the best response after everything that happened. When you look at the pictures of the winners, it was dancing well. There, the difference was huge. We were the best, period“, he notably launched.
“I am not on anyone's side. What happened is ridiculous and has hurt everyone so much for nothing. I did not take a stand and I will not take a stand. I did not insult anyone, no one insulted me. I was there to do my job: dance. The only thing that hurts me is that the level of dance has not improved“, Christophe Licata finally concluded.
