But this situation does not seem to worry Apple, at least if we are to believe a recent interview with Tim Cook in Wired magazine. In this interview, the Apple CEO admits that the Vision Pro is not for everyone. He rather considers the Vision Pro as a product for “early adopters,” for people “who want to have tomorrow’s technology today.” “These people are buying it and the ecosystem is thriving. The ultimate test for us is the ecosystem. I don’t know if you use it a lot, but I’m in it all the time. “I see new applications all the time”, the Apple boss also explained.

Apple has never thought of directly monetizing Apple Intelligence

In his interview, Tim Cook also talks about Apple Intelligence, the series of AI-based features that the company offers on compatible iPhones, iPads, and Macs. And the good news is that Apple's CEO assures that the company has never considered making Apple Intelligence pay (or making features pay). “For us, it's a bit like multitouch, which enabled the revolution of modern smartphones and tablets”, he indicated.

Apple thus stands out from other companies, such as Google or OpenAI, which require a subscription to users who want to use the most advanced versions of their technologies. Otherwise, Cook also talks about the Apple Intelligence feature which, according to him, is the most useful.
