“I'm playing the game”: clear voice, scathing humor… Jacques Dutronc reappears in Télématin and he has lost none of his splendor

This Thursday, February 6, 2025, Télématin was celebrating. Indeed, the show broadcast on France 2 is celebrating its 40th anniversary. So on the set, Julien Arnaud and Flavie Flament received William Leymergie, the famous host of the program for 30 years. The opportunity to remember the best moments of the program, notably when he received Jacques Dutronc.

Viewers can thus see the singer, a few years ago. “I am a loyal viewer every morning”,he said. And here William Leymergie comes back to a crazy anecdote about the singer's presence: “He, he came with two gifts. A box of cigars and a bottle of red. And that earned us two fines. Because we had talked about tobacco and alcohol, imagine ?”, he said.

And here is the Télématin team prepared a nice surprise à William Leymergie: “Well, precisely, the man who spoke about tobacco and alcohol when he had no right to, he is there, the surprise, for William and for us”.Indeed, Thomas Dutronc's father is live, by telephone: “Well “listen, the president is fine”, he says in reference to the fictitious association of the Attentive Téléspectateurs of Télématin.

“And so Jacques Dutronc, that's your reflex in the morning in Corsica ? You turn on France 2 and you've been watching Télématin for a few decades ?”, Maya Lauqué asks him. “Of course, of course, since always. I'm playing the game, there's no morning replay”, he says with a good voice and a wry humor. “You know that we now take great care to mention Corsica in all our weather reports”, the journalist asks him. 

The singer, always so lively

Indeed, Jacques Dutronc has lived in Corsica for many years. “I know, I know, I'm part of this initiative. I know, that's why. I only heard about one city next to Pau”, he says.

A quick-witted Jacques Dutronc is thus a loyal viewer of Télématin. At 81, the former companion of Françoise Hardy has not lost his splendor. Very alert, he is happy to have been able to talk with the show's teams and its famous host, William Leymergie.
