In an exclusive interview that will be broadcast on February 2, 2025 on RFM, Laurence Arné opened up about her private life like she rarely does. Usually very discreet, the 42-year-old actress agreed to talk about her son Raphaël, whom she had with her ex-partner Jérôme Duchamps, creator of the digital agency Spoke. Now aged 12, the young boy seems to have inherited his mother's artistic talents.

A preteen gifted in music

Laurence Arné thus revealed that Raphaël is an accomplished drummer: “He plays the drums very well. We do duets together. We did 'Mana' the other day and we had a great laugh”, she confided. But music is not her son's only interest, who also seems drawn to comedy. “He wants to be an actor or a bass player ?”, the RFM journalist then asked him. “He doesn't know yet”, the actress replied.

If Raphaël is still hesitant about his future direction, he has on the other hand very clear ideas on one point: earning money. “Here he is in a process of just wanting to earn money, so I try to straighten him out on something that he likes”, explained Laurence Arné. A pragmatic attitude that is not surprising in a pre-teen, but that his mother wants to temper by encouraging him to follow his path and his passions.

The rare confidences of Laurence Arné on her son come a few weeks after the announcement of her separation from Dany Boon, with whom she had been in a relationship since 2018. In an interview given to La Tribune du Dimanche at the beginning of January, she confirmed that she had separated from the director during the summer of 2024, after six years of living together.

“You have to be careful not to sacrifice yourself and forget your personal development. I experienced it with my son's father and with all my other partners”, she had declared.

The actress had also expressed on her meeting with her ex-husband: “We fell in love while working together and it changed a lot of things, it's magnificent. It's really stimulating. He's become a mentor and he inspires me a lot. There's a real artistic complicity and it's great. I'm very lucky. What we love about our relationship is having our scripts read to each other.”
