Directed by Emmanuel Courcol (Un triomphe), En fanfare is a French comedy-drama released in theaters on November 27, 2024. Benjamin Lavernhe (Mon inconnue, Le gût des merveilles…) plays a chef orchestra who, due to a health problem, discovers not only that he was adopted, but above all that he has a brother, Jimmy (Pierre Lottin, from Tuches, When Autumn Comes,…), school canteen worker and excellent at the trombone. Everything separates them, except their love of music.
The critics who were able to discover the feature film at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival, where it was presented as a preview, were won over. It is a “love at first sight” for La Voix du Nord, of a “generous comedy”, “galvanizing and unifying” for 20 minutes, when Le Télégramme gives it a score of 4/5.

Synopsis– Thibaut is an internationally renowned conductor who travels the world. When he learns that he has been adopted, he discovers the existence of a brother, Jimmy, a school canteen worker who plays the trombone in a marching band in the north of France. On the surface, everything separates them, except their love of music. Detecting his brother's exceptional musical abilities, Thibaut makes it his mission to repair the injustice of fate. Jimmy then takes it upon himself to dream of another life…
