A municipal agent died from his injuries after He was shot twice in the chest on Sunday morning. He was trying to hold back a reckless driver, responsible for a road accident in Grenoble, who then shot him.

According to the public prosecutor, the events took place following a “traffic accident nearby& of the Grenoble city hall”. “The person responsible for the accident fired two shots at a municipal employee who allegedly tried to prevent him from fleeing”, the prosecution described to the press, confirming information from the Le Dauphiné Libéré.

An Audi violently hit a Peugeot 2008 on Boulevard Jean Pain, in front of the Grenoble town hall, France 3 Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes reports.
