In Sète, a flying start for the players of the Tennis Club du Barrou

Spread the love

An excellent start to the season for TC Barrou members.

In teams as well as individuals, from "8-10 year olds" to "over 60s", the performances are so far there for the Sète club.

TC Barrou is having a particularly successful start to the season. The club with over 300 members (128 children and 177 adults) saw its senior teams shine during this first part.

The men's team of 3 (Johan Pareja, Sacha Sempere, Silouane Des Abbayes, Roman Josa, Mathieu Paler and Liam Chosson), which plays in division 2 of the departmental championship, is thus already assured of promotion to the first division next season.

The men's “55 years” team led by captain Claude Lerouge is vice-champion of the Honor division. A great performance for Nicolas Houdelette, Frédéric Blasco, Vincent Marinello, Henri Rouanet, Macario Sorribas and Jean-Marc Autuori.

See you in January

Among the youth, two teams are involved in the “13-14” Boys' Cup. Team 1 (Mathieu Paler, Edward Lacroux, Camille Martin and Malo Texier) qualified for the final which will take place on January 18 in Cap d'Agde.

Team 2 (Lenny Pace, Ali Dib, Vincent Conte and Taha Regragui) unfortunately lost in the quarter-finals after a very good run in the group stage.

A team is also entered in the “17-18 years” boys category and will also play in the division 1 final on January 18 in Cap d'Agde. It is composed of Alex Pareja, Sacha Sempere, Silouane Des Abbayes, Liam Chosson, Martin Ferraro and Léo Sun. These same players are also involved in the qualifying championship for the regional.

Rising youth.

And, finally, the “galaxie 8-10 ans” team at orange level, composed of Ana-Lisa Dugrip, Jean Court, Ezio Cazes, Tom Léger, Joseph Jover and Émile Delieuze, finished second in the group and qualified for the final table which will take place at the beginning of 2025.

Finally, in individual competitions, three players will represent TC Barrou in the Mediterranean Zone of the senior championships, namely Tésy Nolesini (over 40 years old), Nancy Delmas (over 55 years old) and Karine Vatuone (over 60 years old).

Enough to delight the board of directors as well as the entire teaching team of the club for this start of season.
