The accident occurred this Sunday, December 29, in the territory of the commune of Lussan. At 10:40 a.m., the Gard firefighters were mobilized to rescue a 50-year-old hunter who had just fallen from a height of approximately 10 meters onto rocks. During this operation, the participation of a unit from the Reconnaissance and Intervention Group in Dangerous Environments (GRIMP), a doctor and the Civil Security helicopter was necessary.

This fifty-year-old, seriously injured, was airlifted and evacuated urgently to the Carémeau University Hospital (CHU) in Nîmes.

This intervention mobilized twelve firefighters for nearly four and a half hours.
