In the Swing States, Trump wins full house according to the provisional results of the American elections

The provisional results of the American presidential election are known in the so dreaded “Swing states” this Wednesday morning. And it's a shocker: Donald Trump seems able to win in the 7 swing states of the election.

In the United States, the results of the 2024 presidential elections have started to come in since early morning on Wednesday, November 6, French time. And eyes are now turning to the “Swing states”, the most undecided states, and therefore the most important for the vote. None of these seven key states (Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Nevada, Arizona and North Carolina) has yet found of definitive winner, but partial results give some very clear, even implacable trends.

As a reminder, according to the American voting system, each State won guarantees a certain number of votes out of the 538 electors who will designate, in December, the American president. And for now, it is Donald Trump who has the advantage over Kamala Harris and who could even grab the 93 electors linked to the Swing states.

Trump advantage in Georgia, Pennsylvania and elsewhere

According to the Associated Press, the agency that refers to the results of the elections in the USA, shortly before 6am, Donald Trump had already won the election in North Carolina. On 90% of the votes, he then reached 50.8% of the votes against 48% for Kamala Harris. Donald Trump was also provisionally in the lead in Georgia, on 93% of the votes counted, with 50.8% ahead of Kamala Harris  48.5%. In MichiganWith 44% of the vote, the Republican provisionally won with 51.8% ahead of the Democrat with 46.5%. In Wisconsin, with 75% of the vote counted, the former president had 51.2% against 47.3% for the Vice President. Arizona also provisionally gave victory to Donald Trump, by a narrow margin and with 50% of the votes, with 49.8% against 49.4%.

InPennsylvania, With 39% of the votes counted, Kamala Harris took the lead for a time, at 49.7%, neck and neck with Donald Trump at 49.4%. But the former president has turned the situation since less than two hours later, shortly before 6am and on 83% of the votes this time, the Republican won 51.3% of the vote while Kamala Harris accumulated 47.6%. Nevada did not yet have any figures to provide.

It is therefore a red wave that seems to be sweeping over the Swing states. It should also be noted that in Florida, almost categorized as an 8th Swing state given its 40 electors, Donald Trump obtained more than 56% of the votes, on 97% of the count. He also won in Miami County, which he had lost in the last 2 elections in which he participated. It would therefore seem that the Trumpist electorate has been particularly mobilized, perhaps more than pollsters and observers thought.

Donald Trump had nevertheless seen Kamala Harris make a resounding comeback in the polls, a few days before the election, until overtake him in some territories. But the polls remained extremely tight in the main swing states, according to RealClear Politics and observers feared in the final stretch that the Trump vote had been underestimated. Their fears were probably well-founded.
