It's an interview she'll never forget. This Sunday, September 22, on the show Sept à Huit, Audrey Crespo-Mara received Jean-Claude Van Damme. During this interview, the actor opted for for transparency. He opened up about many topics that are very important to him, including: “What you think sometimes is not what you say”. Faced with the perplexity of the journalist, the actor continues: “At the beginning of the interview, the wagons were not hooked up in order. It's already much better”.
Jean-Claude Van Damme chose transparency, later specifying that he was “sad that people don't understand what I think. They listen to noises but not to sounds”. The actor seemed to imply that his brain works very quickly. “But you, in your head, there are how many thoughts at the same time ?”, asked Audrey Crespo-Mara before continuing: “Sorry, but because, to follow you, you have several thoughts that overlap”. For his part, the main person concerned simply affirmed : “No no, I only have one thought. Phew! ”, surprising Audrey Crespo-Mara a lot.

As she was about to speak again, an ambulance passed by, forcing her to wait for the noise to stop. “This is a guy who élistenedé to what I said”, Jean-Claude Van Damme immediately joked. “This is ’s ’s like the ambulance, you think ? I'm &m in pretty much the same state there”,said the journalist, very amused. For his part, the actor again showed humor, simply stating: “We're going on a boat for 1 month and in the end, you'll end up understanding me.”
Jean-Claude Van Damme seemed to imply that his brain worked very quickly. “I think at an incredible speed”, he said. then before adding: “I feel people in an incredible way, I have an instinct…”. A discussion that then turned towards a passion for acting. “I left school at 15 and at the age of 42, I discovered YouTube”, he said. Jean-Claude Van Damme specifies that, for twelve years, he browsed the site with a coffee and, from time to time, a small cigarette. “I was watching non-stop, sucking up YouTube like a computer. I have enormous respect for supercomputers that are ahead of the curve and that's the future of humanity”, he confided.
Jean-Claude Van Damme then spoke about his relationship with his children. The actor, upset, said that it was not easy. “I have a great life but I have some regrets. I lost the relationship with my children”, he said before adding: “I left home very young and I worked in hotels for fifty years. So they don't know me”. What the actor deplores ? That his children don't know at all who he is. In fact, he spent very little time in their company and they didn't have the opportunity to get to know each other. “When I started to succeed, I gave it my all, but my children won't understand it. Even when I'm dead, they won't understand it”, he concluded.
