A call heard

“The police saw my phone when I reached out the window to hold it close to the bank card reader”, s4iintt warned in his video. “What's the difference between taking out your bank card and actually taking out your phone? I don't understand”, he wondered.

Another influencer, named Masdak, who specializes in law and finance, indicates Le Parisien, also echoed the young man's testimony. He had indicated that the website of Vinci, a motorway company, recommended paying with a smartphone.

This mishap surprised many Internet users and the video went viral, accumulating nearly 5 million views. While digital technology is increasingly anchored in our society, the President of the Republic has responded and seems to want to act.

“You're right. In 2025, we should be able to pay at the toll booth with our phone. I've passed the file to the Minister of the Interior. We're going to collectively sort this out”, he said in a video posted on his TikTok account.
