Voting for a PLFSS, a social security financing bill, which provides resources for health, will be one of the emergencies of the future Bayrou government. The Ministry of Health has just published figures that give an overview of the situation: we spend, on average, 3,659 euros per year and per inhabitant, for a total of 325 billion euros.

Consumption and price of care and medicines, everything is increasing: health expenditure thus reached €325 billion, + 3.5%, last year: + 5.7% for hospital care, + 5.7% for outpatient care, + 3.1% for medicines.

The cost of care has also increased: + 3.6% in public hospitals, and + 0.4% in private clinics.
